United Imaging Debuts New PET/CT Platform at EANM 2024 and Celebrates Milestones in Molecular Imaging Across Europe

United Imaging, a global leader in manufacturing advanced medical imaging and radiotherapy equipment, launches its next-generation PET/CT systems, the uMI Panvivo and the uMI Panorama GS, and introduces uMI AI Solution at the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) 2024 Congress taking place from October 19-23 in Hamburg, Germany. As the sponsor of the "Young Authors Award" and "Technologists Award" at this year's meeting, United Imaging continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering innovation and advancing the field of molecular imaging and nuclear medicine worldwide.

The uMI Panvivo is a new PET/CT platform that brings the latest technology and advancements right to clinical reality and future development. This PET/CT system has obtained FDA 510(k) clearance. With exceptional 219 ps TOF resolution, 2.9 mm NEMA spatial resolution and 181 cps/kBq effective sensitivity, the system delivers uncompromised clarity and lesion detectability, which boosts clinical confidence and capability. Its extendable architecture is ready to meet the ever-growing demand for molecular imaging, allowing medical professionals to scale up capacity and unlock full potential of clinical practice and research. Meanwhile, its compact design with air-cooled system makes it truly accessible without the need for equipment room. The patient-centric design with extra-big tunnel clearance and ambient lighting offers a comforting scan experience.

The uMI Panorama GS, designed to set a new gold standard in molecular imaging and advance whole-body PET imaging, is the flagship product of the uMI Panorama family. This PET/CT system has obtained FDA 510(k) clearance and is CE marked. With an impressive 148 cm axial Field of View (AFOV), it facilitates comprehensive whole-body imaging in a single bed position. Striving to improve patient experience and broaden research opportunities, the system delivers exceptional capabilities for both functional and anatomical imaging, redefining quantification accuracy for precise lesion detection. Additionally, this is the first long axial FOV PET/CT system to achieve a 180-ps level time resolution threshold.

AI Solution for Molecular Imaging (MI) enhances clinical workflows with advanced artificial intelligence, covering the entire workflow from image acquisition and analysis to report writing and biomedical research. It provides clinicians with powerful tools to improve diagnosis precision and efficiency. Powered by large language models, our solution delivers intelligent report generation and streamlined workflows, helping clinicians make more informed, data-driven decisions. Within this solution, the CE-marked uAI MI Oncology application plays a key role in the image interpretation stage, assisting physicians in PET/CT image analysis for more precise and accessible cancer diagnosis.

Over the past year, United Imaging has made notable achievements in molecular imaging across Europe. The installation of the world’s first Total-Body PET/CT system, uEXPLORER, in two leading hospitals in Italy marks a major step forward. The company has also expanded its presence in Western Europe, installing MI systems in Germany and France.
